When a person realizes that he exists in a dark, dead world and anxiously tries to get out of it with all of his might and desires, he is born into the new, spiritual world, much like a fetus whose level of development does not allow him to stay in the mother’s womb any longer. But if a pregnancy (sensation of being under Egyptian slavery of egoism) results in a premature birth, that is, one is not matured enough, has not acquired altruistic properties for independent existence in the new world, it is considered that he is still-born.
In this case, a person is forced to continue this struggle with egoistical desires (Golden Calf worship). Passing the states of realization of Egyptian slavery and finally realizing the need to come under the power of altruistic forces, one is still not fully prepared to assume altruistic properties. Despite being given the altruistic powers from above, one is still not capable to take them on.
As all material objects are separated from one another by distance in space, spiritual objects are also separated from one another due to the difference in their inner properties. Something like this can be seen in our world. For example, two men have similar views, sympathize with one another, and no distance can influence the empathy between them. On the contrary, when their views are very different, they hate one another and no proximity can unite them.
Therefore, the similarity of views draws people together, while the differences separate them. If one person’s nature is absolutely opposite to the nature of the other, these people are as remote from one another as East is from West. The same occurs in the spiritual worlds: moving away, rapprochement, merging – all these processes happen only according to the difference or resemblance between the inner properties of the spiritual objects. The difference in properties separates them, while their similarity brings them closer.
Do not be surprised by the fact that even an individual person, through his or her deeds, can cause an elevation or degradation of the whole world. This is an unalterable law that the whole and its parts are as identical as two drops of water. Everything that occurs in the whole occurs in its parts as well, and vice verse. Furthermore, whatever happens in the parts happens in the whole, because the whole is only revealed through the manifestation of its individual parts, according to both their measure and quality.
We prefer to behave simpler desires without burdening ourselves too much, but our entire life is constrained by manners accepted as the norm in society, which turn into the laws of human behavior and existence. If this is so, where is our free will then? It turns out that none of our actions are rewarded or punished. Why does everyone perceive himself as an individual? What is so special in each of us? Which of our properties can we independently change? If one does exist, we must by all means bring it to light, distinguish it from the rest of our properties and develop it.
We are poor creatures; we represent “a box” with five entrances, or five senses – vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Through these five senses we sense everything that happens around us, and we sense ourselves through them as well.
However, this “reading” of reality is not correct, because all the wave vibrations that enter into us are subsequently processed by our egoistic mechanism – the desire for delight. So whatever we perceive as happening around us seems as such only according to our internal program – to it only. People, who exit that internal mechanism, go outside of themselves, beyond the boundaries of “the box”. Say that the true reality around us is built entirely on bestowal, it is completely altruistic – altruistic in its entirety; and it can not be otherwise. We – the speaking level – as well as the still, vegetative, and animated levels that exist in our world are also altruistic, we simply do not see it.
Never, during its history, has mankind existed without wars, clashes, stand off, and preparations for war, or healing of the wounds following war. That is a fact. The sufferings, tragedies and catastrophes we are going through are only the consequences of our uncorrected qualities, not corrected on time through our own efforts. Terrorist acts and wars, explosions and tragedies will go on unless we begin the internal war with Evil in the spiritual world, while being prepared at the same time for the external war here. This is the internal work to correct our own nature, our ego, and to discover and overcome the Evil inside us.
Today, we should realize that it is pointless to wait for peace; it just will not come. On the contrary, conflicts and military clashes everywhere will escalate. We are able to transfer this war from the level of our world to the spiritual level, to win there, and to see how peace will descend into our world. By no means should we forget that the war on both material and spiritual levels is inevitable and constant until the end of overall correction. By no means should we deceive ourselves into believing that the physical war may be avoided by agreements, concessions, prayers and other actions in our world. This can only be done through the work of correction of our soul.
