If there is trouble anywhere in the world, at any level, human, natural, no matter what, it is the fault of the people who are meant to correct themselves but have not. But why does it come in such a way? Meaning, there is an earthquake, and out of having an earthquake, and some fatal disaster, I need to now realize that an inner correction is necessary.
It is because, out of the entire human race, there are people responsible for beginning the correction. Whether or not they correct themselves determines the entire existence of nature either in accordance with the upper light, or opposite to it. Their refusal to correct their egoism could cause all sorts of disasters and events, explosions on some stars, some forest would burn somewhere, or even without any connection to a person, even at such levels of inanimate, vegetative or animate which are less relevant to us; all catastrophes come out of our lack of correction, and the acceptance of the process of correction depends solely on us.
All of our today’s changes are well matched with our developing egoism. If they were not so great, we would not be able to realize our today’s egoism. Today, the development of egoism (if it develops in the person) is much faster; it is parabolic figuratively speaking. What in the past century was added to it during a year, now is added during a day or even a minute.
In comparison with the past, today’s acceleration ratio comes to one year for a millennium. We are going to see a completely different world within the next few years. A year today constitutes a totally different time period from what it was a hundred or two hundred years ago. We cannot even guess what is going to happen to humanity in just one year. Life surpasses all fantasies. This is the frequency of changes.
Anything man does promotes him toward the purpose of creation. Even the pains we suffer do not come in vain, but are collected, and when the right time comes, they count in our favor. It is a slow progress with man not being a consciously active part of it. In order to shorten this long path of pain, the Creator gave us the Torah, which directs us to the right goal less painfully.
Only in resent decades, once the souls have collected a sufficient amount of pain, a growing number of special souls began to descend to our world, which yearn for the wisdom of Kabbalah. Nothing happens without a reason, but everything finds its own expression through a gradual process.
Kabbalists know that they can’t get to a desired change and cross the barrier between this world and the spiritual world on their own. Just like a football player knows that he won’t play alone on the field, even if he is the most talented player in the world. An even better example is dancing. When two people are dancing one might be up while the other is down, and the situation changes within a matter of seconds. And the dance goes on as long as the situations keep changing. All the dancers know that they are dependent on each other.
Does a person have to justify suffering, justify the Creator? I can’t justify Him when I suffer. This is sanctimony, hypocrisy, and a lie. He is beating me and I should say, “You are so good.” How will this help? There is no greater falsehood. The Creator knows all that you think about Him.
Hence, it is said: “There is no coercion in spirituality.” That is to say, until you change your own heart so that it really begins thinking this way, the rest will be coercion. So there is no getting away, one has to make corrections within one’s heart. You have no power over your heart; it was created by the Upper Light and the Light can change it. This means that you should somehow compel the Upper Light to make that change.
Impure forces are spiritual by nature and opposite to the Creator. Therefore impure forces come from the left line only to people who are on spiritual levels, and pure forces come from the right line, and a person is between the two and operates with these two opposite attributes in him. They are all inside of us, not outside of us. The things people say, that there are some kind of witches, some kind of devil appears from some corner… Nothing like this exists. These are all fairy tales that were heaped up by different religions because those religious leaders do not and did not have any idea about what the spiritual is, and therefore they came up with all of this in their imagination.
