All My Life On My Head, Don’t Want to Think About It
Pain pushes us forward. Whether we feel depressed, empty or confused, all bad feelings appear in order to make us think about their reason and purpose. In our world, we see only the outward shell of reality. We do not see what is hidden behind nature, society, a person or the cosmos, and we cannot control any of them.
The path of pain isn’t really a path at all it’s the accumulation of puzzling events in life that happen to us because we’re not consciously involved in our development. But on the path of pain we only get pushed from behind by it in the form of physical events that bring us just enough suffering to unconsciously make inner changes that move us forward. And because we are so unlike the force of development, we resist it and experience this as pain.
