On the Mission

The search engines have brought some visitors, looking for “video blogs about the meaning of life”. It seems that more and more people would like to find the right answer to the ultimate question: “What do I live for?”

We suddenly feel that we want something not available in this world, so we begin to search for it. If I want spirituality and I want to increase my desire for it, I need only have the right friends, books, and films around me. Human nature will do the rest. If a group of people decides to become like the Creator, nothing can stand in their way, not even the Creator Himself.

  1. I don’t think the point is to necessarily FEEL it all the time. That’s alot to ask for. It is only the truly and abolute righteous ones who are at this level on an ongoing basis. Some of us can give our thanks that we’ve even tasted the experience of Godly revelation one or two times in our life. Something I have been learning lately is that the important thing is to BELIEVE. Although as I write, I am feeling myself so far from being able to fully engage in this practice, I can say from past experiences and from the miraculous stories of many that working towards complete and actual trusting in the benevolence of “Divine Providence” is a huge key to the sweet revelation of blessing in one’s life. The rewards are peace, satisfaction, joy. And as well, infusing joy into the practice of believing will bring us beyond where we ever thought we could go. But you gotta do it with a smile. . . whatever it is that you’re doing. Joy breaks through the darkness. And the darkness has made it possible for the joy to shine. Sorry if I’ve gone on too many tangents. Thanks for sharing your soul music. Keep looking up as you climb the ladder and I’m sure you’ll reach beyond your immediate limitations. After all, we don’t possess an infinite spark inside of us for nothing. Much success

  2. The whole point of our endeavor here is to feel it all the time. What else is there? You want to philosophize about what may be? About who is righteous?
I’m saying something very different, I’m saying we must get to a place where as tangibly as you are looking at a computer screen, just as tangibly you will sense the Creator. That is the point. That is what we are working towards. There are 1000s of methods out there. We are students of the method of direct perception. Our goal is to percieve the Creator while living the life of a person with a family, work.

  3. We are all One. Each individual is the Creator. We exist so that the Creator may experience itsself. Nothing in life is purposeless or in vain, even the “bad” things. There is no way you can not serve the Creator. But there is an option of how to serve, either in service to self or in service to other-self. There is no “God” who sits on a throne in Heaven and allows people to go to “Hell” and witnesses war and doesnt care. This yin and yang exist for each other, for without the other, they could not exist separately. There is night and day, winter and summer, spring and fall, white and black….everything has its opposite. Anyways, just words to try and lift your soul.

  4. I am cheering and applauding you… and I ‘get’ you.

I saw your Craigslist post and took a listen. Thank you for the courage to break out of the mold. Seems we are on a similar musical path. I must say though, it’s been a lonely place for me over the past decade. I find it very comforting to find talented, visionary musicians like yourselves stepping out into the world.

Please let me know if you find someone to help in your promotion… I’ve been looking for that person/persons for years! I know that it has to be someone who has the “vision” as well – you know, not based on monetary reward alone.

I’m recording my 3rd solo CD in NM in February, plus scheduling a few shows. Just knowing there are people like yourselves in the world helps me to keep going.

I wish you beautiful success in manifesting and fulfilling your vision.

    Thank you.

  5. I’m a Buddhist. I don’t believe “we are all one.” I believe we all have one thing in common, which is enlightened mind. I believe that the best way to get in touch with that is through meditation. I don’t believe in a theistic “God” or “Creator” and I don’t believe in New Age interpretations of traditional Buddhism. Finding your own enlightened mind is certainly a “peak experience” but if too much is made of that, it gets turned into yet another New Age theory and the reality of the actual experience is lost.

  6. I also believe in a goal to perceive the Creator in all we do, in our family, in our work. But in order to feel it all the time, we’ve got to be able to communicate to our hearts so that our hearts can actualize the revealed perception of that (in my words) G-dly reality. And who better to direct our hearts, then of course, our minds. I’m sure you’re familiar with the manner of infusing your mind, your intellect, the super, superb storehouse for (you hope) Divine knowledge (otherwise it’s filling up with shtus) and then channeling your wisdom down through levels and processes of depth and expansion and ultimately actualizing the knowledge and thus expressing it in the world, and furthermore, infusing the appropriate and perfectly aligned emotions into the action that resulted from the original knowledge, which in turn even further engraves and ingrains the knowledge itself into existence as we know it, whether it be in your mind, in the external world, all of it. You’ve become a partner in creation, in revelation. And then, there is more Divine Light inside your mind, and refectively in the world. And then, you can see and feel a bit more light. And I’m talking about experiencing the light, not in meditation, but when you’re pushing the stroller and when you’re surrounded by business cards and post-it notes and when you’re heating up leftover rice pasta (yuck-why can’t enriched white pasta be as healthy), etc.etc..If we want to feel it all the time, directly perceive the Creator all the time, maybe the more we learn about what it is we want to feel, to perceive, the more we can work on actualizing that knowledge into a reality in the here and now. We have to seek that true knowledge. I guess that’s what we’re all doing. Prayer can’t hurt with all our heart and soul to lead us to the truest source of those fountains of knowledge. It’s worked before. We just have to keep on going. Don’t mean to philosophize argumentatively at all. We are one.

  7. What is the struggle with the God issue? Many beleive, many don’t. But will it add to your days on earth?

I for one, believe He exsists. I feel strongly about it, but I’m no crusader. As it should be with all of us: it is a personal choice.

We all must face the fact that mankind is as “the flower of the feild; here today, and tomorrow withered forever.” We were never meant to go beyond “earth our island home”, and yet we have this irrepressible urge for something beyond ourselves: whether it be found in success or spiritual enlightenment.

We all return to the earth, and all that we do goes with it. It’s our destiny, it’s “God’s plan” for each of us. So does ultimate success really matter? What good is total enlightenment without the proper balance of present reality?

I’ve come to realise that God made man for relationship in the here and now. That explains the human urge to go beyond ourselves.

But we are fools to think that “spirituality” takes us to some higher realm beyond what God ordained for each of us as humans: which is to live each day moment by moment, in harmony with nature and one another (which all religions teach) — so that our days (which are numbered) will be full and content. God is Father, we are sons and daughters. And as a good father, He wants us to live a good life. Plain and simple.

Religion screws it up for all of us. Religion is man’s feeble attempt to get to God. Religion causes wars, dissention, and all types of evils. It is fanatical and destructive. I hate religion. I think we all do.

Relationship — the proper kind — with ourselves, “God”, our fellow man, and nature, brings contentment and fullness of days.

The richest man that ever lived — King Solomon — said this: “…it is best that a man finds contentment in his work, his play, and his rest…for there is no work nor play nor rest in the grave..”

So whether you beleive in God or not, we have today. We have so many blessings. There is so much to love in life. Enjoy it. Because tomorrow none of it will matter, for the grave awaits. The body dies, and the soul returns to God. Plain and simple.

So why struggle with issues we will never be certain of until we meet our ultimate destiny?

Live today. Love today. Let your days be filled with good things — as “God” would have it. It’s not important whether or not you believe in God. It’s not going to change anything except your quality of living in the temporal present world…

  8. I love that “Free Hugs” video. That was amazing! Man, I almost shed a tear! In any case, I’m not sure- are the creators “creatures..haha” of this site a musical group? Lots of cool theories…words can be pretty confusing.

  9. Well, we are multitasking. Some of us can’t sing at all but we have other options and combine each others own unique ideas and talents. 🙂

  10. Hello..friends.. This is my 1st time here and i am happy to hear that the majority of you all believe in 1 thing. the great ” I AM”.. As in, yourselves! I believe that is the most important part of perception in life, cause if you communicate within that inner child than the rest is taken care of *** I dont believe ( definition of believing is like believing someone is telling the truth; as oppose to saying .., I “KNOW” we are all “ONE” and that we are all connected through “love” It is the most powerful tool in the world!!!. We are entities trying to live as “humans”.. and nowin human form trying to be enlightened..lol~ pretty funny~.. ONE thing i would like to share with all is that “WE” are doing all the hard work (even those who sit here and say, “well im not doing anything with my life or for anyone else”..but you are, and deeply loved for it,..just “being”! LOVE is the most powerful tool there is.
