Burnt by the Sun 2.0

solar_storm AFTER 10 years of comparative slumber, the sun is waking up – and it’s got astronomers on full alert.

This week several US media outlets reported that NASA was warning the massive flare that caused spectacular light shows on Earth earlier this month was just a precursor to a massive solar storm building that had the potential to wipe out the entire planet’s power grid.

NASA has since rebutted those reports, saying it could come "100 years away or just 100 days", but an Australian astronomer says the space community is betting on the sooner scenario rather than the latter.

Because we disturb Nature’s balance, we should expect all kinds of negative influences from It – consequences of the imbalanced state. Our lives and well-being on the planet depend on us bringing Nature into balance. Kabbalah explains how to do this: by changing man’s consciousness from egoistic to altruistic. Kabbalah gives us the means to make the transition to the new state quickly and easily.

animalsPhiladelphia police have identified two teens in custody, charged as adults in the murder of a World War II veteran last week outside his home.

“They demanded money and he ( 87-year-old) just didn’t move quickly enough for them.  And they took that as some type of resisting, or some type of disrespect, and they shot and killed him.”

Those who use force always lose in the end, though they are hoping to succeed. This is how the corporeal world is built, where the only power that rules is that of the Creator. And even when it seems that someone is winning from using violence, we will surely see him fall. This refers to one person, a nation, and the world in equal measure.

According to kabbalists, this indicates that the egoism developing in people today is the kind that wants communication. One’s egoism feels a desire to have influence over others. So today, in order to fulfill one’s ego, one depends on communication with the people around him and with the world at large, and this indicates that we, as humanity, are ready to correct our relationships from egoistic to altruistic.

Four Years Later After Head Butt: Get High Chest Kick, Baby!

chest Why are we still fond of soccer? After such incident ( see a pic) that match must be canceled, a Netherlands butcher gets thrown in jail and the whole game of soccer is denounced and condemned. Just kidding.

According to kabbalists, what’s important is not the game of soccer, but that a person receives pleasure from life. And this pleasure, of course, comes from the Creator. There are many parables like this. If a person’s point in the heart – the yearning for the Creator – hasn’t surfaced yet, then he exists in exile from spirituality, even without being aware of it. As long as he is in this state, he enjoys the small pleasures of this world, called “a weak glow.”

About half of the U.S. public (49%) says they have had a religious or mystical experience, defined as a "moment of sudden religious insight or awakening." This is similar to a survey conducted in 2006 but much higher than in surveys conducted in 1976 and 1994, and more than twice as high as in a 1962 Gallup survey (22%). In fact, the 2009 Pew Forum survey finds that religious and mystical experiences are more common today among those who are unaffiliated with any particular religion (30%) than they were in the 1960s among the public as whole (22%).

According to kabbalists, a person constantly questions his goals, and the surfacing of all kinds of desires in him prompts changes in his life. However, all these desires and occurrences surface at the level of our world, and as such, are unrelated to spirituality. It could also be that this person starts worrying about the world to come, about what will happen to him after he dies, and thus starts noticing everything in the world as being illusive and transient, and that he’ll be left with nothing at the end of it… In either case, he is pursuing security, and religion offers him a reward for his efforts.

Newspapers Are Down And Will Be Out

newspapersWhile newspapers may not be disappearing in droves (only half a dozen shut down or cut back print publication last year), the declines in daily newspaper circulation are unprecedented and precipitous. For the one-year period ending in September 2009, daily newspaper circulation fell 10.6% compared with the same period a year earlier.

According to kabbalists, there’s no doubt that all information will soon be “online,” because the egoism that is now developing is “virtual.” Therefore, it’s pointless to resist these changes.

However, the content of the new type of information will have to answer the new types of desires that people have, because people’s egoism is becoming global and integral. And this can only be accomplished by understanding the system of our new relationships. Those who understand this will eventually come out on top.
