You counterbalance forces every moment, without even realizing it. For example, you sit with folded hands. Why did you choose this position? Because these two forces are balanced in you in such a manner that manifests as folded hands. This happens either by itself or knowingly: I want to balance myself with a boss at work, with the bank, with my wife, children, food, sleep – with absolutely everything. Everything that I have is a desire to reach a balance so as not to feel any pressure from one side or another. I consist of four types of matter and I exist in all of them: still, vegetative, animal and human levels. At each level, I strive for balance and never reach it. With the wisdom of Kabbalah, I can understand and achieve that balance and then feel myself in paradise – enjoy absolute comfort, and, by studying the balance or imbalance, reveal the state that is above the nature and above the desire for balance. So I get to know the basic law, the basic formula that exists in nature.

Question: Why are we constantly striving for balance and unable to reach it?

At each moment when I want to come into balance, I reveal an even greater imbalance. A person who wishes 100 grams of pleasure, and then wants 200, 400 – he never reaches equilibrium, and always feels a lack. Attracting and repelling forces are never balanced.

This law governs our lives. Take disease: for example, I have high blood pressure. What does this mean? My internal system is not able to keep itself in the balance with the external pressure. I have to take a medication, which somehow balances it.

There is atmospheric pressure. It’s height of 80 kilometers – that means tons of pressure on me. Inside me I have the same pressure, which balances it, otherwise I would be flattened into a pancake. Thus, everything is balanced in nature at all levels, and if you see an imbalance, then you reveal the movement toward equilibrium.

We can’t directly apply to the Creator, since in this case our attitude towards Him will be motivated by a selfish desire. But if we train ourselves in such a relation to other creatures, gaining their desires and filling them, thus we become like the Creator, and merge with Him. This process we must take.

I must try to understand how the Creator relates to the creatures. This means that I must help a person to rise above his animal existence and become a man, who is connecting and merging with the Creator. If it depends on me, and Creator doesn’t do this, but instead hands to me the right to be His representative in this mission, then I must help them, and thereby benefit the creatures.

That is what I should do for them out of love. If I love them and understand what the Creator wants in His love for them – that means I should give them all that is necessary for the existence of the physical body and a perfect filling for the spiritual body. What more could there be?

It looks like I take their souls, their vessels, and fill them materially and spiritually. This is how I care about them and treat them with love. Thus, I become like the Creator. Therefore, all abundance flows through me to them, and I become their guide to the light. This is the mission of the people of Israel towards the peoples of the world.

The crisis appears in my attitude towards others, which opens in proportion to the power that brings some form of unity to me. I don’t see that sort of force acting upon me from the outside, just like when we go into space, we don’t perceive the light of the sun, only darkness. This is the feeling of connection. We must feel it.

This doesn’t mean that I am being myself just at home, and outside the home I am another and good for everyone. I must feel inside me, that in my relationship with others – I am dead, “death is better than such a life.” This attitude is required from mankind on the material level, this is not the real bestowal, everything takes place in the desire to enjoy. But this higher power demands that we be united in such a manner and in accordance with this the world feels its dissimilarity to this force, which is called a crisis.

There are many systems that deal with public charity. Does this help humanity? No. Does society like this behavior? Yes. On the human level it is good – people are helping the sick and needy. Does it fix world’s problems? No. It takes a while to realize that. I hope that humanity will see it soon. There are levels of speaking and the understanding that no matter how much we have invested in a charity, it never makes good. Not for anybody!

After all, we are acting in a system which doesn’t offer the freedom of choice. You can’t bring it any good. The world follows the unchanged laws. Perhaps you put in a lot of energy, and you feel that it’s working out very well, but then, in another place, you see very bad consequences.

Sometimes we think we’ll come and fix the world, we’ll help developing some community, country or people, but then we see they are in a worse situation than before.

If Europeans didn’t come to Africa, didn’t discover this continent, it would be much better. They couldn’t have implemented their own culture, education, judicial system and so on. Look, what consequences have come from this! And the same thing has happened with South America. These are entire continents, which allegedly received a modern, advanced culture, but suffer the consequences. We still think that we should fix the world. The fact is, we need to correct ourselves.
