A man has to imagine that the Creator – is good and does good to all creatures, and there is nobody besides Him. So the man needs to treat his surroundings accordingly.  This means that he is trying to achieve equivalence of form with the Creator, merging with Him.

We can’t directly apply to the Creator, since in this case our attitude towards Him will be motivated by a selfish desire. But if we train ourselves in such a relation to other creatures, gaining their desires and filling them, thus we become like the Creator, and merge with Him. This process we must take.

Question: What does it mean practically – to become like the Creator, bestowing to creatures just as Him?

I must try to understand how the Creator relates to the creatures. I must try to imagine what it means to stay in the desire to bestow, what it means to love them and care about the fact that they feel good. And for that I must take care about two things: firstly, that they are not lacking anything necessary for existence, because "if there is no bread – there is no Torah", and the second – that the rest is the Torah, i.e., the light, pulling us back to the Source.

This means that I must help a person to rise above his animal existence and become a man, who is connecting and merging with the Creator. If it depends on me, and Creator doesn’t do this, but instead hands to me the right to be His representative in this mission, then I must help them, and thereby benefit the creatures.

That is what I should do for them out of love. If I love them and understand what the Creator wants in His love for them – that means I should give them all that is necessary for the existence of the physical body and a perfect filling for the spiritual body. What more could there be?

It looks like I take their souls, their vessels, and fill them materially and spiritually. This is how I care about them and treat them with love. Thus, I become like the Creator. Therefore, all abundance flows through me to them, and I become their guide to the light. This is the mission of the people of Israel towards the peoples of the world.

On The Way To Infinity – Willy-Nilly, Or As Desired

What was once personally revealed to a man as a spiritual point in the heart, which impelled him to a group of like-minded people – now reveals in general, in all humanity, pushing them too, to join the group. The group – means a system in which we are all connected.

We don’t have so many opportunities, we have only one exit. We can’t choose anything. As the general society tries to do when the world’s leaders come together and decide what plan of development to choose. Inability to orient in the world causes such an illusion. They don’t understand that there is the world’s law and according to this law, we must all be connected.

When the point in the heart awakens, it tells a person: "You have to connect with the group, and with the help of it, everyone feels the impact of the Creator – the force, which is in the nature of bestowal”. And the same thing, in fact, is spoken to all mankind, only through suffering, that is, not through a point in the heart, which pulls a man forward, but with the help of general suffering, which pushes humanity from behind.

There is no other possibility. All mankind is pushed by the general suffering caused by our lack of communication between people. We need to convey the "recovery" program to people, explain what the pleasure depends on – it’s the relationships between people, mutual guarantees, disclosing the relationship between all. And when they start working on this, they will disclose the points in the heart, which is in everyone, because all of us – is the result of the shattered spiritual vessel. Everyone has a point in the heart, all that exists in our world – is a consequence of upper world. And if they are called the people of this world, they certainly possess the root of Adam – a man from the upper world, which should become like the Creator. Then this spiritual trace will be revealed which has not yet been disclosed.

Find That Single Thing That We Have Been Given To Change

Question: Where is the crisis? The crisis – is a force that located outside of me?

The crisis appears in my attitude towards others, which opens in proportion to the power that brings some form of unity to me. I don’t see that sort of force acting upon me from the outside, just like when we go into space, we don’t perceive the light of the sun, only darkness. Before when the light hasn’t fallen upon the material and began to interact with it, we don’t see that there is a light. When this force reaches me, it shows me how I’m opposed to it. And that’s revealed in me as a sense of crisis, showing me that I am not okay.

Power, which comes into contact with my entity, wants to organize this matter in its likeness – of course, according to my level, but not 100%. Now it has to organize the entire world according to some measure of unity: “Unite together in such level of feeling and understanding of each other, to realize that one can’t live without the other. Be good to each other – even if artificially”. Nobody requires the heart’s correction, just everyone should know that if he won’t treat others right, with a sense of responsibility, we are all lost.

We once read an article about a submarine in which people feel so much connection to each other that if some of them can be saved and escape from the dying ship knowing the rest will die for sure, they come back and stay together because they can’t part with each another, and then all perish at sea. This is the feeling of connection. We must feel it.

This doesn’t mean that I am being myself just at home, and outside the home I am another and good for everyone. I must feel inside me, that in my relationship with others – I am dead, “death is better than such a life.” This attitude is required from mankind on the material level, this is not the real bestowal, everything takes place in the desire to enjoy. But this higher power demands that we be united in such a manner and in accordance with this the world feels its dissimilarity to this force, which is called a crisis.

This phenomenon has been revealed as a “small village”, as the “butterfly effect” a few decades ago and gradually developed until it reached a state of crisis. It was anticipated by many people from different social systems and organizations that felt the approach of the crisis caused by the fact that our selfishness is an obstacle and prevents us from existing as a healthy society.

The Whole World Is An Imprint of You

Communities wishing to somehow help humanity, generally destroy it even more than they help it. If your desire to do something good for your neighbor comes out of selfishness, it destroys others.

If we did not feed Africa, there would not be a situation of permanent hunger there. We would oblige them to develop their industry instead of bringing up a generation which is unable and unwilling to do anything. We wouldn’t force these countries to fight among themselves, and we wouldn’t have the corruption that exists in the UN regarding humanitarian assistance distribution. All of those things are evil, and we see it.

The same thing happens with our relationship to nature, with the desire to cause less harm. We are developing a “green industry”, but ultimately it costs us much more. We have been spending much more energy and natural resources on this. And it appears only on the outside to be beautiful and conserving nature.

Ultimately, we must come to a correct solution that balances with nature and all of the best things and could come only from the right relations between people, and then only under the condition that it will help us to rise to the spiritual level. Nothing short of this brings good. All of our problems exist only to ensure that we realize the evil through them.

There are many systems that deal with public charity. Does this help humanity? No. Does society like this behavior? Yes. On the human level it is good – people are helping the sick and needy. Does it fix world’s problems? No. It takes a while to realize that. I hope that humanity will see it soon. There are levels of speaking and the understanding that no matter how much we have invested in a charity, it never makes good. Not for anybody!

After all, we are acting in a system which doesn’t offer the freedom of choice. You can’t bring it any good. The world follows the unchanged laws. Perhaps you put in a lot of energy, and you feel that it’s working out very well, but then, in another place, you see very bad consequences.

Sometimes we think we’ll come and fix the world, we’ll help developing some community, country or people, but then we see they are in a worse situation than before.

If Europeans didn’t come to Africa, didn’t discover this continent, it would be much better. They couldn’t have implemented their own culture, education, judicial system and so on. Look, what consequences have come from this! And the same thing has happened with South America. These are entire continents, which allegedly received a modern, advanced culture, but suffer the consequences. We still think that we should fix the world. The fact is, we need to correct ourselves.

I Don’t Want To Be A Dummy!

Everything in our world, from infants to adults and even animals, plants or stones – each and everyone   tries to keep itself in the best shape under the forces acting upon it, making the calculation on the most convenient condition that allows it to receive as much as possible and give as little as possible, ie to get maximum pleasure by spending minimum efforts.

Our selfish desire works according to this principle- it is a law of nature. Therefore, we are constantly doing calculations how to manage the ego under this law. The difference between non-living, plant, animal and human – in their levels of developed desire, discernment in choosing fulfillment and its depth. The more developed creature is, the deeper and more multifaceted is the fulfillment it receives.

Everyone wants to get the maximum filling, weighs the efforts that are needed for this reward. The calculation is always about to what extent the environment and conditions will allow the individual to reach the desirable. If no efforts are needed, then, of course, we want to get all the enjoyment that is possible.

Reward and punishment are disclosed in this world accordingly to the level of man’s development. Today he sees reward and punishment as something particular, but tomorrow he will see it quite differently. Everything depends only on his desire. The calculation is performed not in the desire, but in the mind – which assesses whether or not to perform an action under such reward and punishment.

Nothing is too burdensome for the person and there is no such thing as laziness and neglect.. The whole matter is only about the expected rewards and punishments, and this alone determines all human actions.

We assume that we are thinking: to either do something or that it isn’t worth it, and by what means we should attain it, but that’s because we are simultaneously juggling several desires and several kinds of rewards and punishments. I want to eat, but I keep lying on the couch because my leg is sore.  I think: does it make sense to get up and eat, if my foot will hurt even more  – is the suffering worth the pleasure I will get from eating?

In other words, I have a few conditions, parameters that I weigh: the remuneration of the fact that I will get food – against the remuneration of staying comfortable on the couch and escaping the pain.

The Choice Is Yours – To Take Medicine Or Die

(0)

Category : translated lessons

If there is a cure for the disease, the only one who becomes cured is the one who accepts it with all punctuality and believes that it was received from the Doctor of all patients, who intentionally discloses to us our disease – so that we must take his medicine.

If this medicine is revealed to us and given, then we are obliged to take it exactly «as required». You don’t plaster it on your leg if you were told that you need to take it internally, and you don’t take only one tablet instead of 30 during the month – everything must be done exactly as the doctor instructed.

And then the medication cures! It’s precisely adapted to our nature. A man who refuses to accept it – simply doesn’t use the force that can cure the problem. Because there are two forces opposing and equivalent to each other – a man always has the freedom of choice: to take the medication or not.

Man doesn’t get blamed because he fell ill – but only for not taking a medication as prescribed. A medicine has the healing power. All we are fighting for is to make you take that medicine: open a book, tune yourself up, keenly listen to the lesson, prepare yourself for it, develop a need for healing. In response to this need and the feeling of disease, the medication comes to the extent a person demands it.

There is a law: «One and another against each other were made by the Creator» – sickness, evil, selfishness, and against these are the good beginning and the light. But the key is in our hands: let the light influence what it’s opposed to – to our selfishness. And then the ego will be corrected, and they both become as one, which is called «dual goodness».

How can we put our freedom of choice into action and let the light act on us? Only by considering the importance of the goal. In everyday life we make the same calculation: “Is it worthwhile to care about our health? What do I get if I’m healthy?” I have to keep myself busy by doing some exercise, following the diet, and so on. It is easier to give up on my health – and let it go.

That is, I don’t really care about being healthy. Well, in our ordinary life this is understandable, because, sooner or later, my life comes to the end. And we see that even the best health does not help anyone to live forever.

But if we talk about the spiritual and eternal life, then our only problem – is the lack of importance of the goal, which is hidden from us. We need to make sure that the greatness of the goal will be perceived by us as the biggest need.
